My Story

Hello! I began my professional career back when I graduated with my bachelor’s degree at the University of Florida as a Crisis Counselor in Gainesville, FL. I also worked as a therapist at Wheaton College Student Counseling Center, The Florida State University Counseling Center, and The Florida State University Career Center. Now, I maintain a private practice which offers telehealth and video psychotherapy to those who live in Florida.

My theoretical beliefs are not solely based on a ‘deficit’ model. My background as a Counseling psychologist taught me to value an individual’s personal strengths. These strengths can be very beneficial when working to overcome personal challenges. They can also be enhanced to facilitate mental health and resilience.

Psychotherapy is based on a ‘best fit’ for each of my patients. I have been trained in several different therapeutic approaches, so I do not offer a cookie cutter approach to treatment. I often use an eclectic approach which incorporates several modalities in order to alleviate symptoms. I consider you an active participant in your therapy and we make decisions on treatment modalities together.
