About me

I began my professional career after earning my bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida, working as a crisis counselor in Gainesville. I have also worked as a therapist at Wheaton College Student Counseling Center, The Florida State University Counseling Center, and The Florida State University Career Center. I have maintained a private practice since 2009 and now offer telehealth and video psychotherapy to people who live in Florida.
My work is not based solely on a deficit model. My background as a counseling psychologist taught me to value each person’s strengths. Those strengths can help overcome challenges and build greater mental health and resilience.
Psychotherapy is based on the best fit for each patient. Because I have trained in several therapeutic approaches, I do not use a cookie-cutter treatment. I often draw from several methods to alleviate symptoms, with you as an active participant in treatment decisions.
